Stephen Mathieu, founder and President of Legacy Financial Solutions, Inc., received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in 1979.  He has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designations from the American College.   He is an Investment Advisor Representative for Legacy Financial Solutions, Inc.

Industry and Professional Associations.  Steve is a Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.

Steve has recently been named a Five Star Wealth Manager by New Hampshire Magazine, as he has been rated highest in overall satisfaction by clients, peers and industry experts.  The award puts him in a distinguished group of just 4% of all wealth managers in the state.

In addition to running his successful practice, Steve teaches courses in tax, business and estate planning. He has conducted hundreds of educational workshops for the public and professional groups and has written numerous articles dealing with financial and estate planning issues.  “I enjoy teaching – I like to make difficult concepts simple to understand,” explains Steve.  “I find that this new level of understanding often gives people the confidence to take the next step in their planning.”

He has appeared as a guest on radio and television programs including CBS Good Morning and a Public Access Program he hosted (called Elder Planning Issues).  Steve has served as a New Hampshire Delegate to both the 1995 and 2005 White House Conferences on Aging.

A Partner in the Community.  In his community, Steve is founder of the St. Catherine School Charitable Foundation and the St. Joseph School Charitable Foundation.   He coaches hockey and has served on the Board of Directors for The New Hampshire Legends of Hockey.
